Kids & Homework

“Can you do your homework?” I ask my pupil. “Come on mister… you know I do not like homework.” Over time I have heard something like this too many times. In fact, I think now I’m running into this reaction more than I did just a short decade ago. I need to admit that this lack of work is worrying me a little. But… all is not lost… there’s still hope… We can still win.

But first, take a look at this insight: If a lot of people are unwilling to do their own homework, or go the extra mile, especially when things get tough, think of what that means for the rest of us who are doing our own homework and going the extra mile in all that we do. We are more responsible. Turning the word responsible around just means that we are able to respond. And isn’t that what we really want in this life; to be able to respond?

You see, where many people stop, is normally the same point where responsible winners are just getting warmed up and prepared to begin for real. So, if you are one those winners that keep going… CONGRATULATIONS! Just continue doing what you’re already doing… and if you are a person who is frustrated because you haven’t seen positive results yet, don’t worry. Stay the course. Rome wasn’t built in 1 day, and neither will your colossal dream life be built in one day. However, over time it’ll be built as long as you continue your habit of doing extra. And that doing extra all begins with doing your own homework.

Remember it pays always to do your own homework. And once more, thanks in advance for all that do, and all that you will do…
